There is a misconception that elopements are always quick and relatively unplanned. Lacie + Curtis’ big day is a great example of a well thought-out elopement in California.
Wayfarers Chapel is straight outta fairy tale dreams. Seriously- it is the most adorable location and ideal for an elopement. Be it just the two of you (and me, of course) or a larger, 20-40ish group of you, the location is so memorable and picturesque.
Lacie & Curtis are a young couple from St George, Utah. Their love story started as roommates. It evolved into love and Curtis proposed while they were on vacation in Long Beach.
Lacie’s custom made wedding dress was absolutely perfect for her! The flowing skirt and fitted embellished bodice with sweetheart neckline was a great mix of delicate and bold. She was stunning. Paired with her delicate floral anklets, delicate floral crown, and her succulent + deep red dahlias- the look was romantic and whimsical.
The bridesmaid’s bouquets were so cool! They were twig “kissing balls” with small succulent, moss, & floral arrangements atop the ball. The look was like a woodland wonderland and really suited Wayfarers Chapel too.
For the reception decor-it was bold, yet understated. A perfect minimalistic design! They opted for one large family style table with woodland inspired arrangements and pops of red. The bride created all the dream catchers herself. They were so neat! And the simple two tier wedding cake was hand painted (and can we just say, the black top tier was super cool).
Big shout-out to the couple’s florist. She did everything from the table decor to the floral anklet and she killed it. AMAZING job! Marina!! I love you friend!
I adore elopements in a way that I just can’t describe. I’m so glad Lacie + Curtis selected me for their union and I can’t wait to see what their future holds.
