California Wedding Photographer | Cynthia + Mike’s Brouwerij West Wedding, San Pedro

Cynthia + Mike’s wedding was rowdy in all the right ways! It was an absolute blast and they threw one of the best weddings ever and I just adore the two of them. They remind me so much of me and my sweetie. The connection with these two was instant!
They were one of the first couples to ever use Brouwerij West’s venue for a wedding reception. LOVE this amazingly unique wedding venue in LA’s Historic Waterfront area.  They have about 23,000 square feet of flexible space, which makes it awesome for indoor and outdoor use. It’s super casual, but can be easily “dressed up” for a more upscale event.
I don’t exaggerate when I say Cynthia + Mike’s friends and family were some of the biggest (and best) partiers I’ve ever known. I felt a part of their epic celebration from the second I stepped foot on property. They welcomed me with open arms and I was immediately treated like family. They knew the day was about love and an embraced that mentality from start to finish!
If you’re a Friends fan, you would have gotten a kick out of the speech- taken from Joey’s tribute to Chandler & Monica’s nuptials. Check it out on YouTube here.

Cynthia’s advice to other couples: “Don’t stress about having the “perfect” wedding. Things will go “wrong” that’s life. Enjoy the day and soak up every moment, it goes by so fast!”

Also, can we just say. Cynthia & Mike were at the Route 91 concert in Vegas during the tragic shooting (as were Igor and I). We were both incredibly fortunate to have walked away from the event with only a few bruises and some serious emotional trauma. Both of which are easier to heal that so many broken hearts. We are survivors.  I am so so grateful and as much as my heart hurts, I’m happy that I can still hug these two whenever I want!

I leave you with the lyrics to their favorite country, and first dance, song  “Head Over Boots” by Jon Pardi.
“‘Cause you’re the one I want, you’re the one I need
Baby, if I was a king, ah, you would be my queen
You’re the rock in my roll
You’re good for my soul, it’s true
I’m head over boots for you”
