Oh cake smash…how do I love them, especially when they are near my hometown in Palm Springs area. Meet Gwynie, my good friend Cassandra’s daughter- obviously she is celebrating her first birthday in style! I am in love with all the little simple details starting with the ombre cake, the burlap bunting, chalkboards and lastly two of my favorite colors- mint & pink!
We did this shoot about a month ago so she could have some cute photos to celebrate with! I was actually in the 29 Palms area visiting Cassandra’s sister Dawn- who happens to be my BFF and her daughter was celebrating her 2nd birthday as well, so it all worked out! I was so thrilled when Cassandra asked me to take her daughters photos destroying a cake that I didn’t mind leaving the party for an hour to do the photos.
It is so strange to see my little Cassie all grown up, married and as a mother. I guess that means we are getting old right? I am so proud if her and the woman she has become and I know by seeing what a great mother she is to Gwynie that her daughter will certainly follow in her footsteps. I can definitely see a little sass in that one which make it even more fun to watch her grow up. Well anyway, enjoy!
