This Coto De Caza wedding was amazing!! I took Lauren and Geoff’s engagement photos and they were just a great couple to work with – it’s so wonderful to see the love these two have for one another in their eyes and I feel so lucky to be around people like them!
The day started at the Ayres Hotel where the bride and her beautiful ladies got all dolled up , including my sister. The dresses were all an elegant emerald green that the ladies got to chose for themselves. I love the mismatching look of the dresses – it showcases each girls style and it just really works! This wedding was also apart of the Dear Diamond Collaboration of Kristy at RC Photography and myself. We have many people asking just what is Dear Diamond Weddings?
Basically, Kristy and I are the yin to the yang for weddings! We honestly make a great pair that works together – it is also great because we have both had a great amount of experience lead shooting our own weddings so we figured let’s collaborate and become dedicated associate second shooters for weddings. It is definitely a great advantage to having someone there who knows you, that you trust which in turn makes the clients feel at ease. While each of us continues to thrive in other aspects of photography, we can still be there for one another for the most important day of your life!
Now back to my beautiful Lauren and handsome Geoff! Lauren chose to do a first look with her father which left me with no words – again tears flowing haha. These two rented a fabulous estate in Coto De Caza, the ceremony and reception took place in their breathtaking backyard lined with gorgeous trees and flowers. The ceremony was definitely filled with emotion as Geoff’s bride walked toward him to say their vows. Lauren was just beautiful in her Enzoani gown, tears were flowing in the audience including myself! Geoff’s father actually preformed the ceremony which made all that more special. These two have chosen their path to walk with the Lord- putting their faith before anything else – and I love seeing that dedication and following as well. The cross stood throughout the day and the evening as a reminder of their dedication.
On to the tented reception, speeches and the awesome taco and Habit food trucks! You can also watch their wedding video by Bunkeo Arounsy films – with who I am working with again in May.
