Take a look at the super fun engagement session in Palos Verdes a couple months ago…Meet Jessica and Ivan, this young and energetic couple is getting married this April in Palos Verdes and I just KNOW it is going to be a blast! I met these two through a word of mouth referral and as far as meeting new people goes, I definitely hit the jackpot when it comes to these two.
Jessica and Ivan met through work and encountered what I would say the definition of “whirlwind romance” would be. Pretty sure they knew they wanted to marry one another after the first few dates if not the first. Being around these two gives me a high – I love their spunk, energy and their willingness to try new things. I also loved watching how much they adore one another. I left their photo session pretty much ecstatic and of course hoping to shoot their wedding day as well – lucky me!
We did a couple different looks and outfits for these two – starting with a casual jeans and t-shirt look with matching vans and super cute Minnie and Mickey shirts and head wear to tie the look together. The next outfit was the more formal look – I have to Jess sure can rock that hot pink and make it look young, fun and classy. Their wedding will probably have a ton of pinks in a range of tones, super excited because I have to love that ombre pallet when it comes to wedding colors. I think it adds just a little more texture and make things a little more interesting.
The last look was my favorite – regardless if it s the wrong team (Go LA Dodgers!) – they were so flippin’ adorable in their Yankee jerseys! I usually don’t focus so much on the style that my couples wear, however, I want to point out how important it can be! I am such a tomboy country girl so I guess I don’t always focus on fashion, but I will say when I look at my own engagement photos I know they are who Igor and I are as a couple. An engagement session is all about YOU and who you are as an individual as well as a couple. Jessica and Ivan are perfect examples – they are in their early 20’s, they like to have fun together, they are in love and they are about to embark on that next step in their journey! I am so excited to watch them grow and maybe I will get to ride along as their photographer.
