Caitlin and Joseph’s Wedding at The Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton this past fall was one I will never forget! This wedding was a dream wedding I had been looking forward to for pretty much all of 2016.
I actually met Caiti unknowingly at another one of my favorite weddings of 2015. So when she contacted me for her event I was super excited, crossing my fingers that they would book me after we met for coffee out in Orange County last March. Lucky for me (and you), here I am sharing their lovely wedding on today’s blog!
I have been waiting to share this on the website for a while, and I figured today was perfect since it is the 2 year anniversary of their first date! Joey and Caiti are such an amazing and fun couple to be around…I love that they are not afraid to be vulnerable, show their silliness and just all around great people! Their first official date took place at an Angel’s game, his friend, now the best man had extra ticket. Caitlin knew it was love pretty quickly when he showed up to the airport to pick her up from a trip a week after they met.
Within a year he proposed at their favorite restaurant the day after their 11 month dating anniversary totally catching her off guard…it worked!
Their engagement session was also featured on The Inspired Bride wedding blog…I mean they are just so adorable together, how could you not fall in love with them? Now here we are and these two are officially Mr. & Mrs.! Their wedding went off without a hitch showcasing the couple’s special love for one another as well as their family and friends!
The day started at Caitlin’s mother’s home where hair and make-up was done, the guys hung out with my assistant, Shelby as she captured their details. Caiti was surrounded with so much love from her girls and her mother you could just feel the energy and love buzzing in the air. I feel in LOVE with her Calla Blanche dress, Betsey Johnson shoes with added “something blue” detail – both complemented her beauty so well!
We headed off to the grand Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton from there to prepare for the first look between the bride and groom. The grounds at Mansion were absolutely stunning! I just loved all the architecture and columns. The planner on site was great as well keeping the day moving.
After the first look was finished we headed in to get a few last touch ups and family photos for Joey’s side of the family. The ceremony was unplugged, which let me tell you, was such a blessing! It is so nice to see not only NO PHONES in the aisle getting in the way of the perfect photos – it was just great to see their guests fully engaged with the couple and their moment. Seriously, please consider an unplugged wedding as an option, at least during the ceremony.
The reception space was just as lovely with tall flowers in shades on deep pinks and greens with under the cute twinkle lights. The sunset was another great addition. It was definitely one of those sunsets that everyone takes a photo of and posts the Instagram ha-ha- my feed that day was filled with all sunset photos. The speeches, as I have probably mentioned before, are one of my favorite parts of the night as I get to know the couple even deeper as well as their family. So many great moments – some funny and some super sweet and emotional.
All in all, it was truly a perfect day and I couldn’t be happier for these two in the next chapter of their lives as husband and wife! These two definitely complement one another, so much so that I barely had to pose them at all. I guess you could say they are just perfect little puzzle pieces together! They have a super strong bond romantically as well as spiritually and I am looking forward to seeing what adventure they embark on next. Congrats Caitlin and Joseph and thank you again for letting me be a part of your life!
