Ok friends – yes I shot this Joshua Tree Engagement session back in November. Yes, you read correctly November! Why wait so long to post such a sweet engagement between such a wonderful and fun couple? Let’s be honest here, time. I have been running low on time since probably last year at this time of year. I literally just shot Maggie and Don’s wedding this past weekend and figured it is necessary for you to see this AMAZING Joshua Tree Engagement session!!
We started our day at the Joshua Tree Saloon and grabbed a beer – which this place is pretty much right up my alley when it comes to bars..Small, quirky and VERY divey! Maggie and Don are just one of those couples that are completely natural with one another which honestly makes it super easy for me to photograph them. We hung out for a bit as I got to know them and their story, I could tell fancy was not on their list of important things when it came to their wedding. Family, friends and just enjoying one another is what tops the list when it came to planning their wedding. This definitely shone through during their engagement. Joshua Tree just happened to be the amazing background for them.
The next stop would be the super fun rocks out in the middle of the desert…The clouds and light were just incredible and I know I cannot wait to get back! Stay tuned for more from their Hacienda Wedding in Santa Ana – for now their are some sneak peeks when you follow me on Instagram!

- Playing with lighting is my most recent fun thing to do on shoots. When I was leaving their wedding, Don told me this photo is hanging above their fireplace. That my friends is why I do what I do! I want you to cherish these little moments that I get to see from behind the lens.
